Operating from our network of 14 certified disposal plants, the stationary destruction services of Rhenus Data Office are fully reliable and secure.

As with all our services, with stationary destruction, the protection of your sensitive data comes first.

Please note:

  • If you order a container to be collected during the next scheduled collection tour (usually within 2-4 weeks, depending on your area), you will not incur any extra costs except for the actual destruction collection and the delivery fee (see below). If you require the container for a longer period of time, we reserve the right to bill you for a monthly container rent, the exact amount being calculated based on the container's fill volume.

Delivery fee

Please note: To cover our logistical and road toll costs, we have been forced to introduce a one-time delivery fee, compounded per container delivered for permanent use by the customer. This fee is effective as of 1/1/2020 and is billed as 11,00 EUR per 250 litre container and 22,00 EUR per 600 litre container.

Due to technical constraints, we cannot list this fee as part of the shopping process and in your electronic order confirmation mail generated by our shopping cart. After placing your order, you will receive a final order confirmation mail by the Rhenus installation that will handle your order including all applicable costs and fees applicable.

Stationary document destruction - the actual process

For stationary document destruction, we provide you with the required number of security containers which come in different sizes and locking options. All containers are individually-numbered, barcoded and clearly-labelled. All keys provided are copy-protected; the integrated lock system prevents accidents and basic manipulation attempts.

For stationary document destruction, we shall collect the filled containers on your request or following an agreed schedule (typically, 2-4 weeks, depending on your area). Our specially-trained employees will collect the container(s) from your site; if you ordered a long-term service plan, you will be issued an empty replacement container.

Following collection, all containers are transported to the nearest secure installation. Using state-of-the-art high-performance shredders, all material is destroyed pursuant the requirements of the DIN 66399 industry standard.

Full security from delivery to billing

For transporting your container to our site, we use specially-equipped secure vehicles, therefore avoiding the risk of unauthorised access by third parties. Even in case of accidents, the robust containers and enclosed vehicles ensure the security of your data at all times. Following transport to the nearest destruction site, the actual destruction is conducted in an enclosed area only accessible via supervised, electronically-protected vehicle locks.

Security measures for the stationary document destruction service

  • 24-hour CCTV surveillance of all process steps within the site
  • All plants are protected by remote supervision

Certified Security

Following destruction of your files, you receive from us a certificate of destruction and a weighing protocol. Further information e.g. placing of the security container, tasked unit, telephone number and cost centre can be found on the delivery document.
